Hey Guys new to this site, and I wanted to get some insight on some upgrades looking for a chip, programmer, and a air intake.. I already have the exhaust.
So I want to up grade but I dont want to change the tranny or up grade it blow anything up twist or break anything, but l would love to hear some input. I have been reading other posts so I have a idea.. too many options.. thanks Atchie. |

For a chip i would go with the diablosport powerpuck. (previously only available on cummins)
stack it with a diablosport programmer (i have this and it works great!!) features include datalogging and dtc reading and clearing. not sure how the puck works due to my 03 not being able to support it, but have heard good things about it. for an intake i would go with the AFE stg. 2 works good on my 03 and on my father-inlaws 06. -------------------- the powerstrokekid 2003 F-350 6.0L 8" BDS lift ,afe intake diablo sport predator handheld straight thru exhaust, 18" eagle type 114 rims/37" toyo M/T's $100.00 1975 11' truck camper. (don't laugh, its paid for!!)

your going to need your head bolts done, I pop mine with only 60 hp tune. when your in there you should block off the egr.

wow, you must have weak gaskets!?? i know they are definatly fords 6.0L weakspot, but a guy SHOULD (theoretically) be able to run more than 60HP without blowing them. I have dragraced mine with a bully dog cranked way up and im still goin strong at 190,000kms stock gaskets.

I was towing a trailer at the time. new head studs and labor came to 3500.00$

is there any other mod that needs to be done with the cab off like the head studs? im only asking cause when I git r done i might aswell do it then
were is a good place to get the head and stuff done in edmonton or cow town |

Hey man i would go with the sct x3 with the custom tunes i rune them they are the nicest on the tranny. that i have found i ran a super chip and diablo sport didnt really like the tranny shift point.
