This site was developed for those who share in our goal of advancing and supporting the growth of diesel trucks and diesel passenger vehicles. We are here to support one another and to come together in our common efforts. This is a forum where the grassroots racer, the sponsored racer, industry leaders, business owners, diesel junkies and diesel motorheads can talk and swap stories, gain some knowledge and be involved with the diesel community positively and free from gossip, flaming or any other negative banter. We ask that all members apply common sense. Chances are you'll be within the 99% of the users who will never have problems with the administrators and moderators. If you're part of the 1% that does, we recommend you try another forum.

Diesel Alliance administrators and moderators are the sole interpreters of the following rules/guidelines.
They are the ones who determine whether or not a rule has been broken. Admins/Moderators also reserve the right to edit the rules/guidelines & apply consequences as necessary without prior warning.

1.There will not be any posts/threads promoting street racing and/or any related topics.

2.Thread hijacking is disrespectful. Stay on topic. If you have something else to talk about, start a new thread or use the Private Messaging (PM) system.

3.Be constructive with your criticism. Do not post anything that is racially, ethnically or religiously derogatory or offensive. Basically, do not post anything you wouldn't say to someone's face.
If you are having problems with the site and/or other users, PM the admin/mods. We honor “freedom of speech” but don't abuse it. This is a private forum and by you checking off the box, stating you have read and understand the rules and regulations, you are subject to our laws.

4.Please be respectful of other members, sponsors, companies, administrators and moderators.
Flaming, personal threats of violence and personal attacks will not be tolerated in any way. We don't need to hear your accusations or gossip. If you have a beef with someone call them, email them or PM them. Keep it off this forum. It is not a place for soap operas and drama. We are all adults here so act like one.

5.No brand bashing, vendor bashing, cheerleading for a vendor or product. Ignorance and sheep will be banned and threads/posts deleted.

6.Users considered to be trolls and/or users that troll, will be automatically banned.
A troll (noun) is:
A user that posts to cause disturbance and/or cause trouble.
Trolling (verb) is:
Posting to cause trouble/disturbance

7.Do not post negative comments in someone's "For Sale" threads.

8.Do not be a jackass, baiter and/or a post-whore.
Post-whoring is:
Posts which contain no relevant contribution to the thread, topic, or site
Posting responses to a thread for the sole purpose of boosting post count
Posts/Threads that are meaningless and lack the ability to elicit thought-provocative responses
Posting derogatory and/or 1-word answers to a topic
Post whores will have their post count reduced/reset and/or a suspension from the offending forum.
A Baiter is someone who purposely puts another member into a situation of confrontation. It is juvenile and not tolerated.
Being a jackass is self explanatory, if you have to ask, then you should be banned.

9.There will be no solicitation on the public forums from commercial establishments/event that is not approved by Diesel Alliance. Any form of solicitation from or discussion alluding to a business from a member that has a vested interest in a commercial or home based establishment, will be dealt with according to the banning rules. It is reserved to those who support this site.

10.Posts regarding why someone got banned, why a post was removed or any of the Rules & Guidelines, will be deleted. These are not public issues, they are not open for debate, polling or anything else. Questions about these issues will only be answered via email or PM (private message).

11.Threads & posts are removed without warning, explanation or notification. If you think for a moment about why your thread/post might have been deleted, the answer you come up with is most likely correct. If you still need further clarification, email or PM is the only way it is going to happen.

12.Capslock. Please do not post threads or responses with Capslock ON. You will be warned. It is annoying and if its that difficult for you to type, then you shouldn't be online.

13.Usernames. You will need to register a username....one username. Multiple usernames are not allowed. No profane or vulgar usernames are allowed. If you give your username and password to someone, and they break the rules with your username, it will be treated as if you have done it yourself. So, if you plan on letting anyone have access to your usermane, be sure they are trustworthy. You may choose a Custom User Title here. No profanity or vulgarity may be used in the Custom User Title.

14.Signatures. All signatures will not be allowed to advertise companies and show links or contact names/numbers if they are not an authorized sponsor. No explicit content or content that insults members or the forum. Signature must not exceed size of 500x150 pixels. Max file size is 50 kb.

15.Avatars. You may upload an avatar. No nudity, foul language, or anything that the staff feels is lewd, tasteless or offensive. When choosing your avatar, ask yourself this question: "Would I let my kids see this?" If the answer is no, then don't cry when the staff asks you to remove it. This is not a porn site or a place to view porn.

16.Member's Gallery. No pictures of nudity, unlawful behavior or advertisements will be allowed. They will be deleted and/or you will be banned if need be.

17.Posting of copyrighted material as your own is not allowed. If you posting a story, news, factual data, please post your source and a link to the data you are posting about. Plagiarism will not be tolerated.

Please Note:
All consequences dealt out are based on the principle that the offending user is Guilty until proven innocent. Consequences will be given out on a case by case basis as admin/mods see fit. And all consequences will be dealt with in a private manner.
Consequences, in random order, include but are not limited to:
- Verbal warning via private message or email.
- Removal/deletion of avatar, signature, pictures and/or user profile.
- Limiting of user rights.
- Account suspension.
- Banning.
